WANT TO SAVE ENERGY AND IMPROVE YOUR HOME’S LOOK?

Here’s your window of opportunity.

Windows let in light, warmth and fresh air. But older windows can contribute to energy inefficiency around the house. Upgrading to ENERGY STAR® certified windows can reduce energy costs while making your home more comfortable and attractive. Most ENERGY STAR windows feature a special coating that prevents light and UV damage to valuables inside your home.

What to look for in new windows:

Climate zone
Make sure your new windows have an ENERGY STAR climate zone label rated for Oklahoma.
U-factor
U-factor expresses a window’s resistance to heat flow. The lower the u-factor, the better its insulating value.
Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC)
SHGC reflects how well the product blocks heat caused by sunlight. The higher the value, the better.

TIP

A window awning can help to reduce the heat gain of your house during the warmer months of the year. Choose a light-colored awning to reflect more sunlight.
