Take efficiency to new heights.

Join Peak Performers and earn
valuable business incentives.

To keep electricity prices down, PSO rewards Peak Performer businesses for voluntarily curbing energy usage. Participating businesses can earn substantial energy reduction incentives that go directly to their bottom line.

Why does PSO incentivize businesses NOT to use electricity?

If demand remains too high for too long, PSO will have to build new power plants. That would drive electricity prices up. Peak Performers is designed to eliminate the need for new power plants and keep rates low for everyone by improving energy performance.

How does it work?

During a Peak Event, participating businesses have at least two hours to prepare, and they reduce power usage for two to four hours. There are a maximum of 12 Peak Events per year, falling between the months of June and September.

Peak Performers offers wide-ranging energy-conscious benefits, including:

  • Revenue: Create a new revenue stream for your business.
  • Grid Reliability: Reduce the likelihood of overloading the electrical circuits in your community.
  • Environmental Protection: Offset the need for new power plants, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Usage Reports: Customers can access valuable usage data to help reduce operating costs on an ongoing basis.

Thank you to our participating Peak Performers.
